King James Version

Daniel • Chapter 12

1 At that time, Michael the great prince who stands for the children of your people will arise, and there will be a time of trouble such as never has been since there was a nation until that time; but at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone whose name shall be found written in the book. 2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt. 3 And the wise shall shine like the brightness of the firmament, and those who lead many to righteousness like the stars forever and ever. 4 And you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book until the time of the end; many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase. 5 And I, Daniel, saw, and behold, two others standing, one on this side of the bank of the river and one on that side of the bank of the river. 6 And he said to the man in the linen garments that was above the waters of the river, "How long shall be the end of these wonders?" 7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river; and he raised his right hand and his left hand to the heavens and swore by the living forever, that for a time, times, and half a time, when the scattering of the holy people comes to an end, all these things shall be finished. 8 And I heard, but I did not understand; and I said, "My Lord, what will be the end of these?" 9 And he said, "Go, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end." 10 They will be purified and will be refined and will be tested many, and the wicked will do wickedly, and all the wicked will not understand, but the wise will understand. 11 And from the time that the regular sacrifice is removed and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be a thousand two hundred and ninety days. 12 Blessed is the one who waits and reaches a thousand years three hundred thirty and five. 13 And you go to the end, and you will rest, and you will stand for your lot at the end of the days.
