King James Version
Deuteronomy • Chapter 26
1
And it will be when you come to the land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and you will possess it and dwell in it.
2
And you shall take from the first of all the produce of the ground which you bring from your land that the Lord your God is giving to you, and you shall set it in the basket and go to the place that the Lord your God will choose to make His name dwell there.
3
And you shall come to the priest who will be in those days and say to him, "I declare today to the LORD your God that I have come to the land which the LORD swore to our fathers to give to us."
4
And the priest shall take the tenth from your hand and set it before the altar of the Lord your God.
5
And you shall answer and say before the Lord your God, "A wandering Aramean was my father, and he went down to Egypt and sojourned there with a few men, and there he became a great, mighty, and numerous nation."
6
And the Egyptians made us serve with harsh labor.
7
And we cried out to the LORD, the God of our fathers, and the LORD heard our voice and saw our affliction and our labor and our oppression.
8
And the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a strong hand and an outstretched arm and with great terror and with signs and wonders.
9
And He brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey.
10
And now, behold, I have brought the first of the fruit of the ground which you, O Lord, have given to me, and I have set it before the Lord your God, and you shall bow down before the Lord your God.
11
And you shall rejoice in all the good that the Lord your God has given to you and to your house, you and the Levite and the stranger who is among you.
12
When you finish tithing all the produce of your harvest in the third year of the tithe, you shall give it to the Levite, the sojourner, the orphan, and the widow, and they shall eat within your gates and be satisfied.
13
And you shall say before the Lord your God, "I have removed the sacred thing from the house and have also given it to the Levite and to the stranger and to the orphan and to the widow, according to all your commandments that you have commanded me; I have not transgressed any of your commandments, nor have I forgotten."
14
I have not eaten from it in my mourning, and I have not removed it from it when unclean, and I have not given any of it to the dead; I have heard the voice of the Lord my God; I have done according to all that you commanded me.
15
Look from Your holy dwelling place in heaven, and bless Your people Israel and the land that You have given to us, as You swore to our fathers, a land flowing with milk and honey.
16
Today, the LORD your God commands you to do these statutes and judgments, and you shall keep and do them with all your heart and with all your soul.
17
You have declared today that the LORD is to be your God, and that you will walk in His ways and keep His statutes and His commandments and His judgments, and that you will listen to His voice.
18
And the LORD has appointed you today to be His treasured people, as He spoke to you, and to keep all His commandments.
19
And to make you high above all the nations that He made for praise and for name and for glory, and to be a holy people to the Lord your God, as He has spoken.
