King James Version
Deuteronomy • Chapter 27
1
And Moses commanded the elders of Israel to say to the people, "Keep all the commandment that I am commanding you today."
2
And it shall be on the day that you cross over the Jordan to the land which the Lord your God is giving you, that you shall set up for yourself large stones and plaster them with plaster.
3
And you shall write on them all the words of this law when you cross over, so that you may enter the land which the Lord your God is giving you, a land flowing with milk and honey, as the Lord God of your fathers has said to you.
4
And it shall be, when you cross over the Jordan, you shall set up these stones which I command you today on Mount Ebal, and you shall cover them with plaster.
5
And you shall build there an altar to the Lord your God, an altar of stones; you shall not wield an iron tool upon them.
6
You shall build the altar of the LORD your God with whole stones, and you shall offer burnt offerings on it to the LORD your God.
7
And you shall sacrifice peace offerings, and you shall eat there, and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God.
8
And you shall write on the stones all the words of this law clearly.
9
And Moses spoke to the priests, the Levites, saying to all Israel: "Hear and listen, Israel, today you have become a people for the Lord your God."
10
And you shall listen to the voice of the Lord your God, and you shall do His commandments and His statutes which I command you today.
11
And Moses commanded the people on that day, saying.
12
These shall stand to bless the people on Mount Gerizim as you cross the Jordan: Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar, Joseph, and Benjamin.
13
And these shall stand on the curse on Mount Ebal: Reuben, Gad, and Asher, and Zebulun, Dan, and Naphtali.
14
And the Levites answered and said to all the men of Israel with a loud voice.
15
Cursed is the man who makes a carved idol or a metal image, a detestable thing to the LORD, the work of a craftsman, and puts it in a secret place; and all the people shall answer and say, Amen.
16
Cursed is he who dishonors his father and mother, and all the people shall say Amen.
17
Cursed is the one who moves his neighbor's boundary stone; and all the people shall say, Amen.
18
Cursed is the one who leads the blind astray on the way, and all the people shall say, Amen.
19
Cursed is he who distorts the judgment of the stranger, the orphan, and the widow; and all the people shall say, Amen.
20
Cursed is the one who lies with his father's wife, for he has uncovered his father's edge; and all the people shall say amen.
21
Cursed is the one who lies with any animal, and all the people shall say, Amen.
22
Cursed is anyone who lies with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his mother, and all the people shall say, Amen.
23
Cursed is the one who lies with his father-in-law; and all the people shall say, Amen.
24
Cursed is anyone who strikes a neighbor in secret, and all the people shall say, Amen.
25

26
Cursed is the one who does not uphold the words of this law to do them, and all the people shall say, Amen.
