King James Version

Deuteronomy • Chapter 33

1 And this is the blessing with which Moses, the man of God, blessed the children of Israel before his death. 2 And the Lord said, "The Lord came from Sinai and shone forth from Seir; he appeared from the mountain of Paran, and he came with myriads of holy ones; at his right hand was a fiery law for them." 3 Even though he loves the peoples, all your holy ones are in your hand; they are bowed at your feet; they receive from your words. 4 The law was commanded to us by Moses, an inheritance of the congregation of Jacob. 5 And there was a king in Jeshurun when the heads of the people were gathered together, the tribes of Israel. 6 Let Reuben live and not die, and let his men be numbered. 7 And this is to Judah: he said, “Hear, O Lord, the voice of Judah, and bring him to his people. May your hands be sufficient for him, and be a help against his enemies.” 8 And to Levi he said, "Your Thummim and your Urim for your faithful man, whom you tested at Massah, with whom you contended at the waters of Meribah." 9 The one who says to his father and to his mother, "I have not seen him," and his brothers, "I do not recognize," and his sons, "I do not know," for they have kept your words and will preserve your covenant. 10 Your judgments will be taught to Jacob and your law to Israel; they will place incense in your nostrils and whole offerings on your altar. 11 Bless the Lord, my strength, and may the work of my hands be pleasing; may the adversaries who rise against me be shattered, and my haters be put to shame. 12 To Benjamin, he said, "The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety beside him; he shall cover him all day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders." 13 And to Joseph he said, "Blessed of the Lord be your land, from the goodness of heaven, from the dew, and from the deep that lies beneath." 14 From the abundance of the harvest of the sun and from the abundance of the expulsion of the months. 15 And from the top of the mountains of the east and from the magnificence of the hills of eternity. 16 From the greatness of the land and its fullness, and the desire of my dwelling place, you shall come to the head of Joseph and to the crown of the Nazirite of his brothers. 17 The firstborn of a bull is majestic for him, and the horns of a wild ox are his. With them, he will gore the peoples together to the ends of the earth; they are the thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh. 18 And Zebulun said, "Rejoice, Zebulun, in your going out, and Issachar in your tents." 19 Nations will call to the mountain; there they will offer sacrifices of righteousness. For the burden of the seas will be lifted, and the hidden treasures of the sands will be revealed. 20 And to Gad he said, "Blessed is he who enlarges Gad; like a lion, he dwells and tears the arm, yes, the crown of the head." 21 And he saw the beginning of it, for there was a part set aside for the lawgiver, and he placed the heads of the people, the righteousness of the Lord he made, and my judgments with Israel. 22 And Dan said, "Dan is a lion's cub; he leaps from Bashan." 23 And to Naphtali he said, "Naphtali is a hind let loose; he gives goodly words. He is full of the blessing of the LORD; the west and the south shall possess it." 24 And to Asher he said, "Blessed among sons is Asher; let him be favored by his brothers, and let him dip his foot in oil." 25 Iron and copper from your sandals and as your days have been, so shall you be. 26 There is no god, O Jeshurun, who rides the heavens in your help and in His majesty in the skies. 27 From the dwelling of the God of the east and beneath the arms of eternity, He will drive away the enemy from before you and He will say, "Destroy." 28 And Israel shall dwell securely, alone, next to Jacob, in a land of grain and wine; also, His heavens shall drop down dew. 29 Blessed are you, Israel; who is like you, a people saved by the Lord? Your shield is your help, and the sword of your majesty; and your enemies will submit to you, and you will tread upon their high places.
