King James Version

Ezekiel • Chapter 10

1 And I saw, and behold, to the firmament that was over the heads of the cherubim, like a sapphire stone, like the appearance of the likeness of a throne, was seen above them. 2 And he said to the man clothed in linen, "Go in between the wheels under the cherub and fill your hands with coals of fire from between the cherubim and scatter them upon the city." And he went in before my eyes. 3 And the cherubim were standing on the right side of the house when the man entered, and the cloud filled the inner court. 4 And the glory of the Lord rose up from above the cherub, to the threshold of the house, and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was filled with the brightness of the glory of the Lord. 5 And the voice of the wings of the cherubim was heard as far as the outer court, like the voice of God Almighty when He spoke. 6 And it happened when he commanded the man to wear the garments, saying, "Take fire from between the cherubim and go to the altar," and he came and stood beside the wheel. 7 And the cherub stretched out his hand from between the cherubim to the fire that was between the cherubim, and he lifted and gave it to the hands of the garments of the linen, and he took it and went out. 8 And the appearance of the cherubim was the form of a human hand under their wings. 9 And I saw, and behold, four wheels beside the cherubim; one wheel beside one cherub and one wheel beside another cherub, and the appearance of the wheels was like the appearance of a beryl stone. 10 And their appearance was like one form for the four of them, as the appearance of a wheel in the midst of a wheel. 11 In their going to the four corners, they shall not turn aside in their going, for the place to which the head turns after them, they shall go; they shall not turn aside in their going. 12 And all their flesh and their backs and their hands and their wings, and the wheels were full of eyes all around, for the four of them, their wheels. 13 To the chariots they call the wheel in my ears. 14 And four faces for one, the face of the cherub and the face of the second, the face of a man, and the third face, the face of a lion, and the fourth face, the face of an eagle. 15 And the cherubim were raised; it is the creature that I saw by the river Kebar. 16 And in the walking of the cherubim, the wheels will go beside them, and in the lifting of the cherubim, their wings will be raised above the earth; the wheels will not turn when they go beside them. 17 In their standing, they will stand, and in their rising, they will rise, for the spirit of life is in them. 18 And the glory of the LORD went out from the threshold of the house and stood upon the cherubim. 19 And the cherubim lifted their wings and rose from the earth before my eyes as they went out, and the wheels opposite them stood still, and the entrance of the gate of the house of the LORD that faces east was standing, and the glory of the God of Israel was above them from above. 20 It is the creature that I saw under the God of Israel by the river Chebar, and I knew that they were cherubim. 21 Four faces for one and four wings for one, and the form of a man's hands under their wings. 22 And the likeness of their faces was the faces that I saw by the river Chebar; and their appearance was such that each one went straight forward.
