King James Version
Ezekiel • Chapter 38
1
And the word of the LORD came to me, saying
2
Son of man, set your face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him.
3
And you shall say, thus says the Lord Yahweh, behold, I am against you, Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal.
4
And I will deliver you, and I will put hooks in your jaws, and I will bring you out, and all your army, horses and horsemen, (they will be) all dressed with a multitude, a great congregation, shields and bucklers all taking hold of swords.
5
Persia, Cush, and Put were all shield and helmet.
6
Gomer and all its corners, the house of Togarmah, the northernmost parts, and all its corners, and many nations with you.
7
Prepare and make ready for you, you and all your congregation that is gathered against you, and you shall be for them a guard.
8
After many days, you will be counted in the latter years, you will come to a land of returning, from a gathered sword from many nations against the mountains of Israel, which have been desolate continually; and it has gone out from nations, and they will dwell securely all of them.
9
And you will come up like a storm, like a cloud to cover the earth; you and all your troops, and many nations with you.
10
Thus says the Lord God: And it shall be in that day that words will rise up against your heart, and you will think a thought of evil.
11
And you shall say, "I will go up to the land of unwalled towns; I will come to the quiet ones, who dwell securely; all of them dwell without a wall, and they have neither a bar nor gates."
12
To plunder spoils and to seize what is taken back, to return your hand upon the abandoned swords and to the people gathered from the nations, making livestock and possessions, the inhabitants upon the land.
13
Seven, and Dedan, and the traders of Tarshish, and all the young lions thereof shall say to you, “Have you come to take the spoil? Have you gathered your assembly to take silver and gold, to take away livestock and goods, to take a great spoil?”
14
Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog, thus says Lord Yahweh: on that day, when my people Israel dwell securely, you will know.
15
And you will come from the farthest parts of the north, and many nations are with you, all of them riding horses, a great assembly and a mighty army.
16
And you will ascend over my people Israel like a cloud to cover the land; in the latter days it will be, and I will bring you against my land so that the nations may know me by being sanctified in you before their eyes, Gog.
17
Thus says the Lord: You are the one whom I spoke of in ancient days by the hand of my servants the prophets of Israel, who prophesied in those days to bring you against them.
18
And it will be on that day, on the day when Gog comes against the land of Israel, declares the Lord God, my fury will rise in my anger.
19
In my jealousy, with the fire of my wrath I spoke; if not on that day there will be a great earthquake upon the land of Israel.
20
And the fish of the sea, and the birds of the heavens, and the beasts of the field, and all the creeping things that creep on the ground, and all humanity that is on the face of the ground will tremble, and the mountains will be shattered, and the stairways will fall, and every wall will fall to the earth.
21
And I will call upon all the sword, declares the Lord Yahweh, the sword of each man shall be against his brother.
22
And I will judge him with plague and with blood and with a sweeping rain and with fiery stones and with brimstone pouring upon him and upon his companions and upon many peoples who are with him.
23
And I will be magnified and I will be sanctified, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they will know that I am the Lord.
