King James Version

Ezekiel • Chapter 43

1 And He led me to the gate, the gate that faces the east. 2 And behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east, and His voice was like the voice of many waters, and the earth shone from His glory. 3 And like the appearance of the appearance that I saw, like the appearance that I saw when I came to destroy the city, and the appearance that I saw by the river Kebar, and I fell on my face. 4 And the glory of the Lord came to the house through the gate that faces east. 5 And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the inner court, and behold, the glory of the Lord filled the house. 6 And I heard someone speaking to me from the house, and a man was standing beside me. 7 And He said to me, “Son of man, this is the place of My throne and the place of the soles of My feet, where I will dwell among the children of Israel forever, and they will no longer defile My holy name, they and their kings, by their harlotry and by the corpses of their kings at their high places.” 8 When you set up your pillars and your mezuzahs by my mezuzahs and the wall between me and them, and they defiled my holy name with their abominations that they did, then I consumed them in my fury. 9 Now they will remove your harlotry and the corpses of your kings from my sight, and I will dwell in their midst forever. 10 You, son of man, declare to the house of Israel concerning the house, and they will be ashamed of their iniquities, and they will measure their plan. 11 And if they are ashamed of all that they have done, the form of the house and its structure and its exits and its entrances, and all its forms, and all its statutes, and all its designs, and all its laws, let them know them and write in their sight, and let them keep all its forms and all its statutes and let them do them. 12 This is the law of the house on the top of the mountain, all around its border, all around the holy of holies. Behold, this is the law of the house. 13 And these are the measurements of the altar in cubits: a cubit and a handbreadth, and the width of the altar shall be one cubit, and the border around it shall be one span; this is the height of the altar. 14 From the edge of the earth to the lower courtyard, two cubits, and the width one cubit; and from the small courtyard to the large courtyard, four cubits, and the width of the cubit. 15 And the one who shows (is) four cubits, and from the (one) who is mighty, and above the horns (is) four. 16 And the Ariel was twelve cubits in length and twelve cubits in width, square on its four corners. 17 And the measure was fourteen cubits in length and fourteen cubits in width to the four corners, and the border around it was half a cubit, and the thickness of it was a cubit all around, and the steps of it faced east. 18 And he said to me, "Son of man, thus says the Lord God: These are the statutes of the altar on the day it is made for offering a burnt offering and for sprinkling blood on it." 19 And you shall give to the priests, the Levites who are of the descendants of Zadok, who draw near to me, says the Lord God, a young bull for a sin offering. 20 And you shall take some of its blood and put it on the four corners and on the four sides of the congregation and on the border all around, and you shall purify it and make atonement for it. 21 And you shall take the bull of the sin offering and burn it in the appointed place outside the sanctuary. 22 And on the second day you shall offer a male goat without blemish for a sin offering, and they shall purify the altar as they purified it with the bull. 23 When you finish your sin, you shall bring a bull, a year old, without blemish, and a ram from the flock, without blemish. 24 And you shall bring them before the Lord, and the priests shall throw salt upon them, and they shall offer them as a burnt offering to the Lord. 25 For seven days you shall make a sin offering for the day, and a bull of the herd and a ram from the flock, they shall be without defect. 26 For seven days they shall atone for the altar and cleanse it, and they shall fill their hands. 27 And they completed the days, and it shall be on the eighth day and onward that the priests shall make upon the altar your burnt offerings and your peace offerings, and I will be pleased with you, says the Lord God.
