King James Version
Galatians • Chapter 1
1
Paul, an apostle, not from men nor through man, but through Jesus Christ and God the Father who raised him from the dead,
2
And all the brothers who are with me, to the churches of Galatia;
3
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
4
who gave himself for our sins so that he might deliver us from this present evil age according to the will of our God and Father,
5
To whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
6
I am amazed that you are so quickly turning away from the one who called you in the Grace of Christ to a different gospel.
7
What is not anything else, except that there are some who are troubling you and wanting to alter the gospel of Christ.
8
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we preached to you, let him be accursed.
9
As we have said before, and now I say again, if anyone proclaims to you a gospel contrary to what you received, let them be accursed.
10
For am I now persuading people or God? Or am I seeking to please people? If I were still pleasing people, I would not be a servant of Christ.
11
For I know, brothers, the gospel that was preached by me, that it is not according to man;
12
For I did not receive it from a man, nor was I taught it, but it came through a revelation of Jesus Christ.
13
For you have heard of my former conduct in Judaism, how I excessively persecuted the church of God and destroyed it.
14
And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people, being more extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
15
But when he who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his Grace was pleased.
16
to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the nations, immediately I did not confer with flesh and blood,
17
And I did not go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away to Arabia, and again I returned to Damascus.
18
Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to visit Cephas, and I remained with him for fifteen days.
19
But I did not see any of the apostles, except for James, the Lord's brother.
20
What I write to you, behold, before God, I do not lie.
21
Then I went to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
22
I was unknown in person to the churches of Judea that are in Christ.
23
But they were only hearing that he who once persecuted us now preaches the faith he once destroyed.
24
And they glorified God in me.
