Job • Chapter 22

1 And Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said. 2 The God will not dwell with a man because he will dwell upon a wise one. 3 The desire of the Almighty is that you be righteous, and if by gain you will cease your ways. 4 Your fear will accuse you; it will come with you to judgment. 5 "Is it not that your evil is great and there is no end to your sins?" 6 For you shall take off the clothes of the naked for free, and you shall cover your brother. 7 Do not water the weary, and do not withhold bread from the hungry. 8 And a man of strength will be established in it, and he who shows favor will dwell there. 9 You have sent away the widows empty, and the arms of the orphans are crushed. 10 Therefore, around you are snares, and sudden terror will overwhelm you. 11 Or darkness you will not see, and the flood of waters will cover you. 12 Is not God in the height of heaven? And see the summit of the stars, how high they are! 13 And you said, "What does God know about the cloud? He will judge." 14 Clouds are a cover for Him, and He will not be seen; He walks in the circle of the heavens. 15 The way of the world will keep watch over those who walk in falsehood. 16 "Which you have gathered, and at the time the river will not flow, the foundation will be poured." 17 They say to God, “Turn away from us, and what will the Almighty do to them?” 18 And he filled their houses with good, and the counsel of the wicked is far from me. 19 The righteous shall see and be glad, and the innocent shall mock them. 20 If we do not conceal our standing, and the remnant will be food for fire. 21 The elder is indeed with you and may he fulfill your good request. 22 Take, please, from my mouth the law and place my sayings in your heart. 23 If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; you will remove unrighteousness far from your tent. 24 And set upon the dust of the cement and upon the rock of rivers of Ophir. 25 And He will be Shaddai in your distress, and silver will be heaped up for you. 26 For then you will delight in the Almighty and will lift up your face to God. 27 You will call to me, and I will hear you, and your vows I will repay. 28 And you will decide the word, and it will arise for you, and upon your paths light will shine. 29 For they humiliated, and she said, "The pride will save my eyes." 30 "Let the innocent escape, and let them be rescued in your hands."
