King James Version
Job • Chapter 32
1
And these three men stopped answering Job because he was righteous in their eyes.
2
And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram, became angry; his anger was kindled against Job because he justified himself rather than God.
3
And in three of his friends, his anger burned because they found no answer and they condemned Job.
4
And Eliehu waited for Job to speak, because they were older than he in days.
5
And Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men, and his anger was kindled.
6
And Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite answered and said: I am young in days, and you are aged; therefore I was afraid and dared not declare my knowledge to you.
7
I said, "Days will speak, and many years will teach wisdom."
8
Surely it is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.
9
Not many will be wise, and the elders will understand justice.
10
Therefore I said, "I will testify to you; I also have knowledge."
11
Behold, I have begun to listen to your words, to your understandings, to investigate your words.
12
And you will consider; behold, there is no one to refute Job, there is no answer to my words from you.
13
lest you say, "We have found wisdom; God will drive us away, not a man."
14
And He did not arrange words against me, and in your sayings, I will not respond.
15
You did not answer us anymore; they have delayed from them words.
16
And I hoped because they did not speak; for they stood firm, they did not answer anymore.
17
I will answer; I too have a part; I will declare my knowledge; I too.
18
For I have spoken words; my spirit has tortured me in my belly.
19
Behold, in my belly like wine, it will not be opened like new wineskins; it will be burst.
20
I will speak and my mouth will open; I will unlock my lips and I will answer.
21
I will not show favor to any man, nor will I flatter any mortal.
22
For I did not know that I would come; a little will carry me, make me.
