King James Version
Job • Chapter 33
1
But, please hear me, Job; listen to all my words.
2
Behold, I have opened my mouth; I have spoken with my tongue.
3
The uprightness of my heart is my saying, and the knowledge of my lips is clear words.
4
The Spirit of God made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
5
If you can set an arrangement before me, let it stand.
6
Behold, I am like your mouth to God; I have formed you from clay, I also.
7
Behold, my servant, you will not shout, and I will not be heavy upon you.
8
But You said in my ear, and I will hear the voice of words.
9
I am pure; I have not sinned; I am innocent, and there is no iniquity in me.
10
Behold, troubles will find me; they will consider me an enemy to him.
11
He sets in the way of my feet; He guards all my paths.
12
Indeed, this is not your righteousness; for God is greater than man.
13
Why do you contend with me? For all my words will not answer.
14
For God speaks once, and twice, yet no one perceives it.
15
In a dream vision of the night, when deep sleep falls upon men, in slumbering upon a bed.
16
Then the ear of people will be opened, and in their oppression they will be bound.
17
To remove a man’s deed, and the flesh of a man will cover.
18
He will save his soul from ruin and his life from passing through the sword.
19
And he shall be taken in pain upon his bed, and contend with his many bones.
20
And the pollution of his life is food, and his soul is the appetite of desire.
21
He is able to see flesh, and as for me, my bones are not seen.
22
And he drew near to the slaughter of his soul and his living creatures to the dead.
23
If there is an angel on my behalf, one who intercedes for a man, to declare his uprightness.
24
And He granted us favor, and He said, "I have found a ransom from the pit of destruction."
25
He will return in the flesh from his youth to the days of my youth.
26
He will prevail with God, and He will be pleased with him; and He will see His face with a shout, and He will bring back to man his righteousness.
27
He was upright toward men and said, "I have sinned and acted unjustly, and it did not benefit me."
28
He redeemed my soul from going down to the pit, and my life will see light.
29
Behold, all these will act, God, twice, three times with a man.
30
To restore his soul from the pit to the light of life.
31
Listen, Job; be silent, and I will speak.
32
If there are words, answer me; speak, for I desire Your righteousness.
33
If there is no one, you will not hear me; I will teach you wisdom.
