King James Version
Micah • Chapter 3
1
And I said, "Hear now, you heads of Jacob and you rulers of the house of Israel, is it not for you to know the judgment?"
2
Those who hate good and love evil, who tear off their skin from upon them and their flesh from upon their bones.
3
And what they ate was the fat of the people, and they stripped off their skin and broke their bones, and they spread them out as in a pot and as flesh in the midst of a cauldron.
4
Then they will cry out to the Lord, but He will not answer them; He will hide His face from them at that time, because of the evil they have done.
5
Thus says the Lord concerning the prophets who lead my people astray, who bite with their teeth and cry, "Peace," and who do not put anything into their mouths; they even sanctify a war against me.
6
Therefore, the night will be to you from vision and darkness will be to you from divination, and the sun will come upon the prophets, and the day will be dark upon them.
7
And the seers were ashamed, and the diviners were embarrassed, and they all covered their lips, for there is no answer from God.
8
But I have filled with the strength of the Spirit of Yahweh and with justice and strength to declare to Jacob his transgression and to Israel his sin.
9
Hear this, you leaders of the house of Jacob and you rulers of the house of Israel, who detest justice and pervert all that is right.
10
He builds Zion with blood and Jerusalem with iniquity.
11
Their heads judge for bribes, and their priests teach for a price, and their prophets prophesy for money; yet they lean on the Lord, saying, "Isn't the Lord in our midst? No disaster will come upon us."
12
Therefore, because of you, Zion shall be plowed as a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as wooded heights.
