King James Version
Psalms • Chapter 106
1
Praise Yah! Give thanks to the LORD for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.
2
Who can declare the mighty acts of the LORD? Who can make all His praise heard?
3
Blessed are those who keep justice, doing righteousness at all times.
4
Remember me, O Lord, with the favor of Your people; visit me with Your salvation.
5
To see the goodness of your chosen ones, to rejoice in the joy of your nation, to glory with your inheritance.
6
We have sinned with our ancestors; we have committed iniquity; we have done wickedly.
7
Our fathers in Egypt did not understand your wonders; they did not remember your abundant kindness, and they rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea.
8
And He will save them for the sake of His name, to make known His might.
9
And He rebuked the Sea of Reeds, and it dried up, and He led them in the depths like a wilderness.
10
And He will save them from the hand of the enemy, and He will redeem them from the hand of the foe.
11
And the waters covered their adversaries; not one of them remained.
12
And they believed in my words; they will sing his praise.
13
They have quickly forgotten my deeds; they did not wait for his counsel.
14
And they craved a craving in the wilderness, and they tested God in the desert.
15
And He gave them their request, and sent a spirit into their soul.
16
And they became jealous of Moses in the camp, of Aaron, the holy one of the LORD.
17
The earth opened and swallowed Dathan and covered the congregation of Abiram.
18
And fire will burn among the congregation; a flame will scorch the wicked.
19
They made a calf in the desert and bowed down to a molten image.
20
And they exchanged their glory for the form of a bull that eats grass.
21
They forgot God, their Savior, who does great things in Egypt.
22
Wonders in the land of Ham, fearful things by the Sea of Reeds.
23
And he said, "If not for Moses, his chosen one, standing in the breach before me to turn back my wrath from destroying."
24
And they rejected in the land of desire; we did not believe His word.
25
And they were murmured in their tents; they did not listen to the voice of the Lord.
26
And he lifted his hand against them to cause them to fall in the wilderness.
27
And to cast their seed among the nations and to scatter them in the lands.
28
And they clave to Baal-Peor and ate the sacrifices of the dead.
29
And they provoked with their deeds, and a plague broke out among them.
30
And Phinehas stood and prayed, and the plague was restrained.
31
And it was accounted to him for righteousness for generations and generations forever.
32
And they angered against the waters of Meribah, and it was bad for Moses on account of them.
33
For they rebelled against His spirit and spoke with His lips.
34
Do not destroy the nations that the LORD said to them.
35
And they mixed with the nations and they learned their works.
36
And they served their idols, and they became a snare to them.
37
And they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons.
38
And they poured out innocent blood, the blood of their sons and their daughters, whom they sacrificed to the idols of Canaan, and the land was profaned with blood.
39
And they defiled themselves with their deeds and they committed adultery with their actions.
40
And the anger of the LORD was kindled against His people, and He despised His inheritance.
41
And He gave them into the hand of the nations, and they ruled over them, their haters.
42
And their enemies pressed upon them, and they were subdued under their hand.
43
Many times they will be saved, but they will rebel against their counsel and they will perish in their iniquity.
44
And He saw their distress when He heard their cry.
45
And he remembered his covenant with them, and he repented according to the abundance of his kindness.
46
And he gave them to mercy before all their enemies.
47
Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the nations to give thanks to your holy name, to glory in your praise.
48
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting. And all the people said, Amen. Praise the Lord.
