King James Version
Psalms • Chapter 107
1
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His mercy endures forever.
2
Let the redeemed of the LORD say so, whom he has redeemed from the hand of the adversary.
3
And from the lands I will gather them from the east and from the west, from the north and from the sea.
4
They wandered in the wilderness in a desolate way; they found no city of habitation.
5
The hungry and thirsty souls will faint.
6
And they cried out to the LORD in their distress; from their straits He will save them.
7
And He will guide them in the right way to walk to the city of habitation.
8
Let them give thanks to the Lord for his goodness and for his wonders to the children of men.
9
For He has satisfied the longing soul and has filled the hungry soul with good.
10
Those who dwell in darkness and the shadow of death, prisoners of misery and iron.
11
For they have rebelled against the words of God and have despised the counsel of the Most High.
12
And he humbled their heart with labor; they stumbled and there was no helper.
13
And they cried out to the LORD in their distress; from their straits He saved them.
14
He will bring them out of darkness and the shadow of death, and he will break their chains.
15
Let them give thanks to the LORD for His lovingkindness and for His wonders to the sons of men.
16
For he has shattered the doors of bronze and cut the bars of iron.
17
Fools from the way of transgressions and from their iniquities shall be oppressed.
18
All food is loathed by their soul, and they drew near to the gates of death.
19
And they cried out to the LORD in their distress; from their straits He saved them.
20
He will send His word and heal them, and will deliver them from their destruction.
21
They shall give thanks to the LORD for His mercy and for His wonders to the children of men.
22
And they will offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and they will tell of His deeds with joy.
23
Those who go down to the sea in ships, doing work in many waters.
24
They saw the works of the LORD and His wonders in the deep.
25
And he said, and he caused a stormy wind to stand, and the waves were lifted up.
26
The heavens will ascend, the depths will descend, their souls will be troubled by evil.
27
They will stagger and will sway like a drunkard, and all their wisdom will be consumed.
28
And they cried out to the LORD in their distress, and from their straits He rescued them.
29
He raises a storm to silence, and the waves are hushed.
30
And they rejoiced because they desired, and He directed them to the region of their delight.
31
Let them give thanks to the LORD for His goodness and for His wonders to the children of man.
32
They will exalt Him in the assembly of the people and in the congregation of the elders they will praise Him.
33
He will place rivers in the wilderness and springs in the desert.
34
A land of temptation for the inhabitants thereof.
35
He sets the desert to a pool of water and the dry land to sources of water.
36
And there sat the hungry, and they established a city for dwelling.
37
And they sowed fields and they planted vineyards and they made fruit of the harvest.
38
And He blessed them, and they multiplied greatly, and their livestock He did not diminish.
39
And they were diminished and they sank from the oppression of evil and sorrow.
40
He pours contempt on nobles and causes them to wander in emptiness, not a path.
41
And he will rescue the needy from oppression, and he will set them like sheep in their families.
42
Let the upright see and rejoice, and let every injustice close its mouth.
43
Who is wise and will keep these, and they will ponder the mercies of the Lord?
