King James Version

Psalms • Chapter 108

1 A song, a psalm, for David. 2 My heart is ready, O God; I will sing and make music, even my glory. 3 Awake, O harp and lyre; I will awaken the dawn. 4 I will thank you, O Lord, among the peoples, and I will sing to you among the nations. 5 For your lovingkindness is great above the heavens and your truth reaches to the clouds. 6 Lifted up above the heavens, O God, and upon all the earth, Your glory. 7 So that your beloved ones may be freed; save with your right hand and answer me. 8 God spoke in His holiness: "I will rejoice; I will divide Shechem and measure out the valley of Succoth." 9 To me is Gilead; to me is Manasseh; and Ephraim is the strength of my head; Judah is my lawgiver. 10 Moab is my washbasin; over Edom I cast my shoe; over Philistia I shout in triumph. 11 Who will bring me to a fortified city? Who will lead me to Edom? 12 Has not God rejected us, and will not God go out with our armies? 13 The help of a mortal is worthless; vain is the salvation of man.
