King James Version

Psalms • Chapter 28

1 To David: To You, O LORD, I call. My Rock, do not be silent from me, lest if You are silent from me, I become like those going down to the pit. 2 Hear the voice of my supplication, when I cry to You; when I lift my hands toward Your holy sanctuary. 3 Do not drag me away with the wicked and with the workers of iniquity, who speak peace with their neighbors, but evil is in their hearts. 4 Give them according to their deeds, and according to the fruit of their actions, give them their reward. 5 For they do not understand the work of the LORD and the deed of His hands; He will destroy them and will not build them up. 6 Blessed is the Lord, for he has heard the voice of my supplication. 7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him. 8 The LORD is strength to His people, and He is the stronghold of their salvation. 9 Save your people and bless your inheritance, and shepherd them and carry them forever.
