King James Version

Psalms • Chapter 34

1 To David in the years of his taste before Abimelech, and he drove him away, and he went. 2 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. 3 In the Lord my soul will boast; the humble will hear and be glad. 4 Magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. 5 I sought the LORD, and He answered me, and from all my fears, He delivered me. 6 Look to me and be radiant; and let your faces not be ashamed. 7 This poor man called, and the LORD heard him and saved him from all his troubles. 8 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and He delivers them. 9 Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him. 10 Fear the Lord, you His saints, for there is no lack for those who fear Him. 11 Young lions lack and suffer hunger, but those who seek the LORD will not lack any good thing. 12 Go, children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD. 13 Who is the man that desires life, loving days to see good? 14 Guard your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit. 15 Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. 16 The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are toward their cry. 17 The face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to cut off their memory from the earth. 18 They cried out, and the LORD heard, and from all their troubles He delivered them. 19 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. 20 Many are the evils of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. 21 He protects all my bones; not one of them is broken. 22 The death of the wicked is evil, and the haters of the righteous will be condemned.
