King James Version

Psalms • Chapter 68

1 For the conductor, a song of David. 2 God shall arise, and His enemies shall be scattered, and those who hate Him shall flee from before Him. 3 Like smoke is blown away, so the wicked shall perish before God. 4 And the righteous will be glad; they will rejoice before God, and they will be joyful with gladness. 5 Sing to God, sing praises to His name; lift up a song for the One who rides through the deserts; His name is Yah, and rejoice before Him. 6 Father of orphans and judge of widows is God in His holy dwelling. 7 God places the solitary in a house; He brings out prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land. 8 God, when you go out before your people, with their marching, Selah. 9 The earth shook; the heavens also dropped down at the presence of God; this is Sinai at the presence of God, the God of Israel. 10 Let God send forth the rain of donations; you have established your inheritance, and you are satisfied. 11 You will prepare in your goodness for the poor, O God. 12 The Lord will give the saying of the multitude of warriors. 13 The kings of armies will flee, and she who stays at home will divide the spoil. 14 If you lie between the lips, the wings of a dove are covered with silver and her feathers are yellow-green and sharp. 15 In/through the spread of Shaddai, kings will/desire in her, you will cast in the shadow. 16 The mountain of God is the mountain of Bashan, the mountain of the heights, the mountain of Bashan. 17 Why do you seek to exalt the high mountains? The mountain that God has desired for His dwelling, indeed the LORD will dwell there forever. 18 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them, Sinai in the sanctuary. 19 You ascended on high, you took captives; you received gifts among men, even among the rebellious, to dwell, O Lord God. 20 Blessed is the Lord; day by day He bears our burden, the God of our salvation. Selah. 21 God is for us, God of salvation, and to the Lord, my Master, belongs the issues of death. 22 But God will crush the head of my enemies, the hairy crown of the one who walks in his guilt. 23 The Lord said, "From Bashan I will return; I will return from the depths of the sea." 24 In order to crush your feet in the blood of your enemies, to the tongue of your dogs. 25 They have seen your ways, O God; the ways of my King in holiness. 26 They advanced singers after the players, amidst the words of the players. 27 In assemblies, bless God, the LORD, from the source of Israel. 28 There in Benjamin, young men are leaders; the leaders of Judah are gathered; the leaders of Zebulun, the leaders of Naphtali. 29 Your God has commanded your strength; O God, you have worked for us. 30 Your temple in Jerusalem will bring kings to you. 31 Rebuke the beast of the reeds, the congregation of mighty ones; with the chariots of nations, they will be entangled in the silver stakes; the peoples will desire battles. 32 The mighty ones will come from Egypt; Cush will quickly stretch out its hands to God. 33 The kingdoms of the earth sing to God; sing praises to the Lord. Selah. 34 To the one riding in the heavens, the heavens of old, behold, he gives forth his voice, a voice of strength. 35 Give strength to God over Israel, His majesty and strength in the heavens.
