King James Version

Psalms • Chapter 84

1 For the conductor, upon the Gittith, a psalm of the sons of Korah. 2 How lovely are Your dwelling places, O LORD of hosts! 3 My soul longs and even faints for the courtyards of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God. 4 Even the sparrow has found a house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, near your altars, O Yahweh of hosts, my king and my God. 5 Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they will still praise you. Selah. 6 Blessed is the man whose strength is in you, in whose heart are the highways. 7 Those who pass through the valley of weeping will make it a spring; the rain also covers it with blessings. 8 They will go from strength to strength; each will appear before God in Zion. 9 O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer; give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah. 10 Shield us, O God, and behold the face of Your anointed. 11 For a day in your courts is better than a thousand; I would rather stand at the threshold in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness. 12 For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give Grace and glory; He will not withhold good from those who walk uprightly.
