Ezra 10:2

And Shecaniah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, answered and said unto Ezra, We have trespassed against our God (Elohim), and have married foreign women of the peoples of the land: yet now there is hope for Israel concerning this thing.

And Sechenias the son of Jehiel of the sons of Elam answered, and said to Esdras: We have sinned against our God (Elohim), and have taken strange wives of the people of the land: and now if there be repentance in Israel concerning this,

Shecaniah, son of Jehiel, an Elamite, said to Ezra: “Yes, we have been unfaithful to our God (Elohim) because we have married foreign women from the people of the land. But even so there is still hope for Israel over this.
