Λέγω οὖν, μὴ ἔπταισαν ἵνα πέσωσιν; μὴ γένοιτο· ἀλλὰ τῷ αὐτῶν παραπτώματι ἡ σωτηρία τοῖς ἔθνεσιν, εἰς τὸ παραζηλῶσαι αὐτούς.
English Translation
I say then, did they stumble so as to fall? By no means; rather, through their trespass salvation has come to the Gentiles, so as to make them jealous.

I say then, Did they stumble that they might fall? God (Elohim) forbid: but by their fall salvation [is come] unto the Gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy.

Now if their fall is the riches of the world, and their loss the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?

So am I saying that they stumbled and consequently failed completely? Not at all! But as a result of their mistakes, salvation came to other nations, to “make them jealous.”

I ask then, did they stumble that they might fall? May it never be! But by their fall salvation has come to the Gentiles, to provoke them to jealousy.

I demaund then, Haue they stumbled, that they should fall? God (Elohim) forbid: but through their fall, saluation commeth vnto the Gentiles, to prouoke them to follow them.

Did God (Elohim)’s people stumble and fall beyond recovery? Of course not! They were disobedient, so God (Elohim) made salvation available to the Gentiles. But he wanted his own people to become jealous and claim it for themselves.
