Hebrews 4:2

For indeed we have had good tidings preached unto us, even as also they: but the word of hearing did not profit them, because it was not united by faith with them that heard.

For unto us also it hath been declared, in like manner as unto them. But the word of hearing did not profit them, not being mixed with faith of those things they heard.

For we've heard the good news just like they did, but it didn't help them because they didn't accept and trust in what they heard.

For vnto vs was the Gospel preached as also vnto them: but the worde that they heard, profited not them, because it was not mixed with faith in those that heard it.

For this good news — that God (Elohim) has prepared this rest — has been announced to us just as it was to them. But it did them no good because they didn’t share the faith of those who listened to God (Elohim).
