Luke 8:9

And his disciples asked him what this parable might be.

And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?

And his disciples put questions to him about the point of the story.

And his disciples asked him [saying], What may this parable be?

And his disciples asked him what this parable might be.

And he said, Unto you it is given to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God (Elohim): but to the rest in parables; that seeing they may not see, and hearing they may not understand.

Yashua (Jesus) replied, “You've been given insights into the mysteries of God (Elohim)'s kingdom, but the rest are given illustrations so that, ‘Even though they see, they don't really see; and even though they hear, they don't really understand.’

Then his disciples asked him, “What does this parable mean?”

Then his disciples asked him, demaunding what parable that was.

And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?

And His disciples were questioning Him, saying, “What may this allegory be?”

And his disciples asked him, saying, What might this parable be?

His disciples asked him what this parable meant.

And his disciples asked him, saying, What doth this parable mean?

Then his disciples asked him, “What does this parable mean?”

Then his disciples asked him, “What does this parable mean?”

Then his disciples asked him, “What does this parable mean?”
