1 Corinthians 8:8

But food will not commend us to God (Elohim): neither, if we eat not, are we the worse; nor, if we eat, are we the better.

But food commendeth us not to God (Elohim): for neither, if we eat, are we the better; nor, if we eat not, are we the worse.

But God (Elohim)'s approval of us is not based on the food we take: if we do not take it we are no worse for it; and if we take it we are no better.

But meat does not commend us to God (Elohim); neither if we should not eat do we come short; nor if we should eat have we an advantage.

But meat will not commend us to God (Elohim): neither, if we eat not, are we the worse; nor, if we eat, are we the better.

If another believer sees you who have such “better knowledge” eating food in an idol temple, won't his weak conscience be convinced to eat food sacrificed to idols?

But meate maketh not vs acceptable to God (Elohim), for neither if we eate, haue we the more: neither if we eate not, haue we the lesse.

It’s true that we can’t win God (Elohim)’s approval by what we eat. We don’t lose anything if we don’t eat it, and we don’t gain anything if we do.
