Acts 7:39

to whom our fathers would not be obedient, but thrust him from them, and turned back in their hearts unto Egypt,

to whom our fathers would not be obedient, but thrust him from them, and turned back in their hearts unto Egypt,

So God (Elohim) gave up on them. He left them to their worship of the stars in the sky. This is what the prophets wrote, ‘Were you giving offerings or making sacrifices to me during the forty years in the desert, you Israelites?

“But our ancestors refused to listen to Moses. They rejected him and wanted to return to Egypt.
