Galatians 3:16

Now this I say; A covenant confirmed beforehand by God (Elohim), the law, which came four hundred and thirty years after, doth not disannul, so as to make the promise of none effect.

If the inheritance is derived from obedience to the law, it no longer comes from the promise. But God (Elohim) graciously gave it to Abraham by means of the promise.

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his offspring. He doesn’t say, “To descendants”, as of many, but as of one, “To your offspring”, which is Christ.

God (Elohim) gave the promises to Abraham and his child. And notice that the Scripture doesn’t say “to his children, ” as if it meant many descendants. Rather, it says “to his child” — and that, of course, means Christ.
