English Translation
I therefore wish to marry a younger woman, to bear children, to manage a household, and to give no occasion for slander to the opposing party.

I desire therefore that the younger [widows] marry, bear children, rule the household, give no occasion to the adversary for reviling:

So it is my desire that the younger widows may be married and have children, controlling their families, and giving the Evil One no chance to say anything against them,

Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially those who labour in the word and in teaching.

As Scripture says, “Don't muzzle the ox when it's threshing out the grain.” Also, “The worker deserves to be paid.”
