English Translation
And I too, along with my young men, will leave behind the women and the silver; let us leave this burden.

And I likewise, my brethren and my servants, do lend them money and grain. I pray you, let us leave off this usury.

Even I and my servants have been taking interest for the money and the grain we have let them have. So now, let us give up this thing.

I also, my brethren and my servants, we might exact usury of them, money and corn. I pray you, let us leave off this usury.

Both I and my brethren, and my servants, have lent money and corn to many: let us all agree not to call for it again; let us forgive the debt that is owing to us.

Then said they, We will restore them, and will require nothing of them; so will we do, even as thou sayest. Then I called the priests, and took an oath of them, that they should do according to this promise.

“We will give it back,” they replied, “and we won't demand anything more from them. We'll do as you say.” So I summoned the priests and made the nobles and officials swear an oath that they'd do what they had promised.

I likewise, my brothers and my servants, lend them money and grain. Please let us stop this usury.
