ὁ μὲν οὖν Πέτρος ἐτηρεῖτο ἐν τῇ φυλακῇ· προσευχὴ δὲ ἦν ⸀ἐκτενῶς γινομένη ὑπὸ τῆς ἐκκλησίας πρὸς τὸν θεὸν ⸀περὶ αὐτοῦ.
English Translation
Peter was therefore being kept in prison; but earnest prayer was being made by the church to God for him.

Peter therefore was kept in the prison: but prayer was made earnestly of the church unto God (Elohim) for him.

Peter therefore was kept in the prison: but earnest prayer was made of the church unto God (Elohim) for him.

So Peter was kept in prison: but the church made strong prayer to God (Elohim) for him.

And behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shined in the cell: and he smote Peter on the side, and awoke him, saying, Rise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.

Suddenly an angel of the Lord appeared, and a light shone in the cell. The angel shook Peter awake, saying “Quick! Get up!” The chains fell from his wrists,
