λέγει· Ναί. καὶ ⸀ἐλθόντα εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν προέφθασεν αὐτὸν ὁ Ἰησοῦς λέγων· Τί σοι δοκεῖ, Σίμων; οἱ βασιλεῖς τῆς γῆς ἀπὸ τίνων λαμβάνουσιν τέλη ἢ κῆνσον; ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν αὐτῶν ἢ ἀπὸ τῶν ἀλλοτρίων;
English Translation
He says: Yes. And when he had entered the house, Jesus came to him, saying: What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth take tolls or taxes? From their own sons or from strangers?

He saith, Yea. And when he came into the house, Yashua (Jesus) spake first to him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? the kings of the earth, from whom do they receive toll or tribute? from their sons, or from strangers?

He says, Yes. And when he came into the house, Yashua (Jesus) anticipated him, saying, What dost thou think, Simon? the kings of the earth, from whom do they receive custom or tribute? from their own sons or from strangers?

And he said: Of strangers. Yashua (Jesus) said to him: Then the children are free.

But, lest we cause them to stumble, go thou to the sea, and cast a hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a shekel: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.

He said, “Yes.” When he came into the house, Yashua (Jesus) anticipated him, saying, “What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth receive toll or tribute? From their children, or from strangers?”

He sayd, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Iesus preuented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? Of whome doe the Kings of the earth take tribute, or polle money? of their children, or of strangers?

He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Yashua (Jesus) prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?

And when he came into the house, Yashua (Jesus) anticipated him, saying, “What do you think, Simon? The kings of the earth—from whom do they receive custom or poll-tax? From their sons or from the strangers?”

He saith, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Yashua (Jesus) prevented him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?

“Yes, he does,” Peter replied. Then he went into the house. But before he had a chance to speak, Yashua (Jesus) asked him, “What do you think, Peter? Do kings tax their own people or the people they have conquered? ”

He saith, Yes. And when he had come into the house, Yashua (Jesus) anticipated him, saying, What thinkest thou, Simon? from whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? from their own children, or from strangers?
