βουλόμενός ⸀τε ⸀ἐπιγνῶναι τὴν αἰτίαν δι’ ἣν ἐνεκάλουν αὐτῷ, ⸀κατήγαγον εἰς τὸ συνέδριον αὐτῶν.
English Translation
Wishing to know the reason for which they had accused him, they brought him to their council.

And desiring to know the cause wherefore they accused him, I brought him down unto their council:

When I discovered a plot against this man I sent him to you right away, ordering his accusers to make their complaints before you.”
