36 Or if it be known that the ox hath used to push in time past, and his owner hath not kept him in; he shall surely pay ox for ox; and the dead shall be his own.

א֣וֹ נוֹדַ֗ע כִּ֠י שׁ֣וֹר נַגָּ֥ח הוּא֙ מִ/תְּמ֣וֹל שִׁלְשֹׁ֔ם וְ/לֹ֥א יִשְׁמְרֶ֖/נּוּ בְּעָלָ֑י/ו שַׁלֵּ֨ם יְשַׁלֵּ֥ם שׁוֹר֙ תַּ֣חַת הַ/שּׁ֔וֹר וְ/הַ/מֵּ֖ת יִֽהְיֶה לּֽ/וֹ

English Translation

Or it is known that the ox has gored from yesterday or the day before, and the owner has not guarded it, he shall repay an ox for an ox, and the dead animal shall be his.
