If I do not keep still and silent, my soul is like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.

Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; Like a weaned child with his mother, Like a weaned child is my soul within me.

Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; Like a weaned child with his mother, Like a weaned child is my soul within me.

Surely I have restrained and composed my soul, like a weaned child with its mother: my soul within me is as a weaned child.

Lord, hear my voice. Let thy ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.

Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother, my soul is with me like a weaned child.

On the contrary, I have chosen to be calm and quiet, like a weaned child with its mother. I am like a weaned child with its mother.

Surely I have stilled and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me.

Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.

Have I not compared, and kept my soul silent, || As a weaned one by its mother? As a weaned one by me is my soul.
