English Translation
And he said to me, "What is your name?" And Jacob said.

And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for thou hast striven with God (Elohim) and with men, and hast prevailed.

And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for thou hast striven with God (Elohim) and with men, and hast prevailed.

And he said, Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel: for in your fight with God (Elohim) and with men you have overcome.

And he said, Thy name shall not henceforth be called Jacob, but Israel; for thou hast wrestled with God (Elohim), and with men, and hast prevailed.

But he said: Thy name shall not be called Jacob, but Israel: for if thou hast been strong against God (Elohim), how much more shalt thou prevail against men?

And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for thou hast striven with God (Elohim) and with men, and hast prevailed.

He said, “Your name will no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have fought with God (Elohim) and with men, and have prevailed.”

Then said he, Thy name shalbe called Iaakob no more, but Israel: because thou hast had power with God (Elohim), thou shalt also preuaile with men.

And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God (Elohim) and with men, and hast prevailed.

And He says, “Your name is no longer called Jacob, but Israel; for you have reigned with God (Elohim) and with men, and prevail.”

“Your name will no longer be Jacob,” the man told him. “From now on you will be called Israel, because you have fought with God (Elohim) and with men and have won.”
