הוּכָּֽה כָ֭/עֵשֶׂב וַ/יִּבַ֣שׁ לִבִּ֑/י כִּֽי שָׁ֝כַ֗חְתִּי מֵ/אֲכֹ֥ל לַחְמִֽ/י
English Translation
He struck like grass, and my heart withered because I forgot to eat my bread.

By reason of the voice of my groaning My bones cleave to my flesh.

By reason of the voice of my groaning My bones cleave to my flesh.

Because of the voice of my sorrow, my flesh is wasted to the bone.

By reason of the voice of my groaning, my bones cleave to my flesh.

I am smitten as grass, and my heart is withered: because I forgot to eat my bread.

I am like a pelican of the wilderness; I am become as an owl of the waste places.

All my groaning has worn me out; my bones show through my skin.
