Verse 4

Deuteronomy 24:4

Bible in Basic English

4 Her first husband, who had sent her away, may not take her back after she has been wife to another; for that is disgusting to the Lord: and you are not to be a cause of sin in the land which the Lord your God (Elohim) is giving you for your heritage.

English Translation
A husband cannot take back his first wife after she has been sent away, to be his wife again, after she has been defiled, for that is an abomination before the Lord, and you shall not bring sin upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.
