Matthew Chapter 11
Matthew chapter 11 begins with John the Baptist sending his disciples to ask Jesus whether He is the promised Messiah. Jesus responds by pointing to His works—healing the blind, lame, deaf, and preaching good news to the poor—as evidence that the prophecies are being fulfilled. Jesus then speaks highly of John, describing him as more than a prophet and the messenger sent to prepare the way.

Jesus rebukes cities that witnessed His miracles yet refused to repent, warning that their judgment will be severe. He thanks the Father for revealing truth to the humble rather than the proud and worldly wise. The chapter concludes with Jesus inviting the weary and burdened to come to Him for rest, promising that His yoke is easy and His burden is light.
