⸂προσελθὼν δὲ⸃ τῷ ⸀δευτέρῳ εἶπεν ὡσαύτως· ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν· ⸂Ἐγώ, κύριε· καὶ οὐκ⸃ ἀπῆλθεν.
English Translation
And having approached the second, he said likewise; but the one answering said, "I, Lord"; and he did not go away.

And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I [go], sir: and went not.

And he came to the other, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.

And he came to the second and said the same. And he made answer and said, I go, sir: and went not.

And coming to the second he said likewise; and he answering said, *I* [go], sir, and went not.

And coming to the other, he said in like manner. And he answering, said: I go, Sir; and he went not.

“John came to show you the way to live right with God (Elohim), and you didn't believe him, but the tax collectors and prostitutes did believe him. Later, when you saw what happened, you still didn't repent and believe him.
