Hebrews 2:14

Since then the children are sharers in flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner partook of the same; that through death he might bring to nought him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Therefore because the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner hath been partaker of the same: that, through death, he might destroy him who had the empire of death, that is to say, the devil:

That's why it was necessary for him to become like his brothers in everything, so that he could become a merciful and trustworthy high priest in the things of God (Elohim), to forgive his people's sins.

Because God (Elohim)’s children are human beings — made of flesh and blood — the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death.
