6 and the sons of those smiting [him] he hath not put to death, as it is written in the book of the law of Moses that Jehovah commanded, saying, 'Fathers are not put to death for sons, and sons are not put to death for fathers, but each for his own sin is put to death.'

וְ/אֶת בְּנֵ֥י הַ/מַּכִּ֖ים לֹ֣א הֵמִ֑ית כַּ/כָּת֣וּב בְּ/סֵ֣פֶר תּֽוֹרַת מֹ֠שֶׁה אֲשֶׁר צִוָּ֨ה יְהוָ֜ה לֵ/אמֹ֗ר לֹא יוּמְת֨וּ אָב֤וֹת עַל בָּנִים֙ וּ/בָנִים֙ לֹא יוּמְת֣וּ עַל אָב֔וֹת כִּ֛י אִם אִ֥ישׁ בְּ/חֶטְא֖/וֹ ימות יוּמָֽת

And the sons of the slayers, they did not put to death, as it is written in the book of the teaching of Moses, which the LORD commanded to say: "Fathers shall not be put to death for sons, and sons shall not be put to death for fathers; rather, each shall be put to death for his own sin."
