8 As I live, saith the Lord God (Elohim), forasmuch as my flocks have been made a spoil, and my sheep are become a prey to all the beasts of the field, because there was no shepherd: for my shepherds did not seek after my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flocks:

As I live, declares the Lord God, if my flock does not become a prey, and my sheep become food for all the wild animals, because there is no shepherd, and my shepherds did not seek my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and did not feed my sheep.
