Deuteronomy 8:5

And thou shalt consider in thy heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so Jehovah thy God (Elohim) chasteneth thee.

Keep in mind this thought, that as a son is trained by his father, so you have been trained by the Lord your God (Elohim).

And know in thy heart that, as a man chasteneth his son, so Jehovah thy God (Elohim) chasteneth thee;

That thou mayst consider in thy heart, that as a man traineth up his son, so the Lord thy God (Elohim) hath trained thee up.

And thou shalt consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God (Elohim) chasteneth thee.

That's why you have to keep the commandments of the Lord your God (Elohim), following his ways and respecting him.

Knowe therefore in thine heart, that as a man nourtereth his sonne, so the Lord thy God (Elohim) nourtereth thee.

Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the LORD thy God (Elohim) chasteneth thee.

and you have known with your heart that as a man disciplines his son, your God (Elohim) YHWH is disciplining you,

Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the LORD your God (Elohim) disciplines you for your own good.

You shall consider in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so Yahweh your God (Elohim) disciplines you.

You shall consider in your heart that as a man disciplines his son, so the LORD your God (Elohim) disciplines you.

and thou hast known, with thy heart, that as a man chastiseth his son Jehovah thy God (Elohim) is chastising thee,
