ἵνα διὰ δύο πραγμάτων ἀμεταθέτων, ἐν οἷς ἀδύνατον ψεύσασθαι ⸀θεόν, ἰσχυρὰν παράκλησιν ἔχωμεν οἱ καταφυγόντες κρατῆσαι τῆς προκειμένης ἐλπίδος·
English Translation
So that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge may have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.

that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God (Elohim) to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us:

that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God (Elohim) to lie, we may have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us:

So that we, who have gone in flight from danger to the hope which has been put before us, may have a strong comfort in two unchanging things, in which it is not possible for God (Elohim) to be false;

that by two unchangeable things, in which [it was] impossible that God (Elohim) should lie, we might have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us,

That by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God (Elohim) to lie, we may have the strongest comfort, who have fled for refuge to hold fast the hope set before us.

This hope is our spiritual anchor—it's both certain and reliable, and it takes us past the curtain to the presence of God (Elohim).

That by two immutable things, wherein it is vnpossible that God (Elohim) should lye, we might haue strong consolation, which haue our refuge to lay holde vpon that hope that is set before vs,

So God (Elohim) has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God (Elohim) to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.
