Deuteronomy 17:14

When thou art come unto the land which Jehovah thy God (Elohim) giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like all the nations that are round about me;

When you have come into the land which the Lord your God (Elohim) is giving you, and have taken it for a heritage and are living in it, if it is your desire to have a king over you, like the other nations round about you;

When thou comest unto the land which Jehovah thy God (Elohim) giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like all the nations that are about me;

When thou art come into the land, which the Lord thy God (Elohim) will give thee, and possessest it, and shalt say: I will set a king over me, as all nations have that are round about:

When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God (Elohim) giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein; and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that are round about me;

you can have a king but only one chosen by the Lord your God (Elohim). He must be an Israelite. You must not have a king who is a foreigner; someone who is not an Israelite.

When you have come to the land which Yahweh your God (Elohim) gives you, and possess it, and dwell in it, and say, “I will set a king over me, like all the nations that are around me”;

Whe thou shalt come vnto ye land which the Lord thy God (Elohim) giueth thee, and shalt possesse it, and dwell therein, if thou say, I will set a King ouer me, like as all the nations that are about me,

When you come into the land which your God (Elohim) YHWH is giving to you, and have possessed it, and dwelt in it, and you have said, Let me set a king over me like all the nations which are around me—

“You are about to enter the land the LORD your God (Elohim) is giving you. When you take it over and settle there, you may think, ‘We should select a king to rule over us like the other nations around us.’
