Deuteronomy 12:8

Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes;

You are not to do things then in the way in which we now do them here, every man as it seems right to him:

for ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD thy God (Elohim) giveth thee.

After you cross the Jordan and settle down in the country that the Lord your God (Elohim) is giving you to possess, and he lets you rest from fighting all your enemies and you live in safety,

You shall not do all the things that we do here today, every man whatever is right in his own eyes;

Ye shall not doe after all these things that we doe here this day: that is, euery man whatsoeuer seemeth him good in his owne eyes.

“Your pattern of worship will change. Today all of you are doing as you please,
