הֶ/אָמ֣וּר בֵּֽית יַעֲקֹ֗ב הֲ/קָצַר֙ ר֣וּחַ יְהוָ֔ה אִם אֵ֖לֶּה מַעֲלָלָ֑י/ו הֲ/ל֤וֹא דְבָרַ֨/י יֵיטִ֔יבוּ עִ֖ם הַ/יָּשָׁ֥ר הוֹלֵֽךְ
English Translation
"Has the Spirit of the Lord shortened, or are these my deeds? Do not my words benefit the one who walks upright?"

Shall it be said, O house of Jacob, Is the Spirit of Jehovah straitened? are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

Shall it be said, O house of Jacob, Is the Spirit of Jehovah straitened? are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

Is the Lord quickly made angry? are these his doings? do not his words do good to his people Israel?

O thou [that art] named the house of Jacob, Is Jehovah impatient? are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

The house of Jacob saith: Is the spirit of the Lord straitened, or are these his thoughts? Are not my words good to him that walketh uprightly?

But of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye strip the robe from off the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war.

Lately my people have risen up against me like an enemy. You steal the coats off the backs of those passing by, men returning from war who expect to be safe in their homeland.

Shall it be said, O house of Jacob: “Is Yahweh’s Spirit angry? Are these his doings? Don’t my words do good to him who walks blamelessly?”

O thou that art named of the house of Iaakob, is the Spirite of the Lord shortened? are these his workes? are not my wordes good vnto him that walketh vprightly?

O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

Those named the house of Jacob: Has the Spirit of YHWH been shortened? Are these His doings? Do My words not benefit the people that are walking uprightly?

O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

Should you talk that way, O family of Israel?<br>Will the LORD’s Spirit have patience with such behavior?<br>If you would do what is right,<br>you would find my words comforting.<br>
