And Pilate, wishing to content the multitude, released unto them Barabbas, and delivered Yashua (Jesus), when he had scourged him, to be crucified.

They forced a passer-by, Simon of Cyrene, who was coming from the countryside, to carry his cross. Simon was the father of Alexander and Rufus.

Pilate, wishing to please the multitude, released Barabbas to them, and handed over Yashua (Jesus), when he had flogged him, to be crucified.

So Pilate willing to content the people, loosed them Barabbas, and deliuered Iesus, when he had scourged him, that he might be crucified.

So to pacify the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas to them. He ordered Yashua (Jesus) flogged with a lead-tipped whip, then turned him over to the Roman soldiers to be crucified.

And so Pilate, willing to content the people, released Barabbas to them, and having scourged Yashua (Jesus), delivered him to be crucified.
