⸀καὶ ἐξελθοῦσα εἶπεν τῇ μητρὶ αὐτῆς· Τί ⸀αἰτήσωμαι; ἡ δὲ εἶπεν· Τὴν κεφαλὴν Ἰωάννου τοῦ ⸀βαπτίζοντος.
English Translation
And going out, she said to her mother, "What should I ask for?" And she said, "The head of John the Baptist."

And she went out, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptizer.

And she went out, and said unto her mother, What shall I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.

And she went out and said to her mother, What is my request to be? And she said, The head of John the Baptist.

And she went out, and said to her mother, What should I ask? And she said, The head of John the baptist.

Who when she was gone out, said to her mother, What shall I ask? But she said: The head of John the Baptist.

The king was very upset, but because of the oaths he'd made in front of his guests, he didn't want to refuse her.

She went out and asked her mother, “What should I ask for?” Her mother told her, “Ask for the head of John the Baptist!”

And she went forth, and said to her mother, What shall I ask? and she said, The head of John the Baptist.
