King James Version
2 Timothy • Chapter 3
1
But know this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
2
For people will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy.
3
without love, without agreement, slanderers, uncontrolled, fierce, lovers of what is good.
4
traitors, reckless, blinded, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
5
Having a form of godliness but denying its power; avoid such people.
6
For among these are those who enter into households and capture weak women laden with sins, led away by various desires,
7
Always learning and never able to come to a knowledge of the truth.
8
Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these oppose the truth, men corrupted in mind, disqualified regarding the faith.
9
But they will not progress any further, for their folly will be evident to all, as that of those also became.
10
But you have followed me in my teaching, in my conduct, in my purpose, in my faith, in my patience, in my love, in my endurance,
11
In the persecutions and sufferings that happened to me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra, what persecutions I endured; and the Lord rescued me from them all.
12
And all who want to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
13
Evil people and sorcerers will advance to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
14
But you remain in what you learned and were assured of, knowing from whom you learned it.
15
And that from childhood you have known the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.
16
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness,
17
That the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
