Matthew 27:17

When therefore they were gathered together, Pilate said unto them, Whom will ye that I release unto you? Barabbas, or Yashua (Jesus) who is called Christ?

But the chief priests and the elders convinced the crowds to ask for Barabbas, and to have Yashua (Jesus) put to death.

When they were then gathered together, Pilate said vnto the, Whether will ye that I let loose vnto you Barabbas, or Iesus which is called Christ?

As the crowds gathered before Pilate’s house that morning, he asked them, “Which one do you want me to release to you — Barabbas, or Yashua (Jesus) who is called the Messiah?”
